Executive Director

Prior to joining the Georgia Transportation Alliance, Joseph worked as the Vice President of Policy & Government Affairs for the Council for Quality Growth. At the Council he worked on local, regional, and state policies related to infrastructure planning, legislative initiatives, regulatory issues, land use, transportation, and environmental planning impacting the development and growth industry. Joseph has over 10 years of government affairs experience working at the intersection of economic development and regulations for membership-based organizations in metro Atlanta evaluating local, state, and federal policy priorities and setting forth recommended pathways to successfully advocate on behalf of the Board leadership and membership.

Joseph earned a B.S. in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Joseph is a 2023 graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission Regional Leadership Institute.

Joseph and his wife Kayla live in the City of Atlanta where they recently purchased their first home.

Deputy Director of Operations

Maddison graduated with Honors from Samford University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Life Education. After graduation, Maddison returned home to Atlanta and began her career. Maddison serves as the Senior Director of Operations for Georgia Transportation Alliance focusing on board engagement and events throughout the year.

Maddison married her college sweetheart, Nathan. They live in Cumming, GA, and attend Local Forsyth Church. Nathan and Maddison have a daughter named Ella Mae and a rescue puppy named Hoosier.

Katie covers the issue areas of economic development and taxation, environment, agriculture and energy, and transportation for the Georgia Chamber government affairs team. Prior to joining the Chamber in June 2022, Katie spent more than six years at Georgia Farm Bureau where she served as Advocacy and Policy Development Coordinator. She began her career working in development at the University of Georgia and NC State University. An Athens native and lifelong Bulldog fan, Katie graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Agricultural Communication.

Today, Katie and her husband, Zeb, live on the family farm in Buckhead (Morgan County) with a few hundred cows and their dog, Piper.
